Aston Martin has spent heavily to transform itself from midfield outfit into a genuine contender, and 2026 is when the investment is meant to pay off. Two pieces make it the paddock's most fascinating project: a works partnership with Honda for the new power unit, and the arrival of Adrian Newey, the most successful designer in F1 history, to shape the car.
Leading the effort on track is Fernando Alonso, still one of the sharpest operators in the sport, supported by the experienced Lance Stroll. If Newey's aerodynamics and Honda's engine come together, Aston Martin could make the jump from hopefuls to winners in a single regulations cycle.
